Become a Precinct Captain

The role of a Precinct Captain (PC) is at the heart of political party activity. It’s our ground game. “The most important job I ever held was that of Precinct (Captain).” – President Harry S. Truman

As a Precinct Commiteeperson, you represent the Arizona Democratic party in your precinct. Elections are truly won and lost in precincts and PCs are vital to ensuring Democratic support for Democratic candidates and issues.

PCs are elected during the primary election and serve a two year term. PCs can also be appointed when a vacancy occurs.

Any registered Democrat is eligible to serve in the precinct where he or she lives as long as they are willing to do the work.
